Friends, Ajay Devgan has always been known for his classic acting. His eyes alone are enough to describe his acting. Currently, he is very busy with his upcoming films and the news is coming that, after "Maidaan" Movie, he is going to do another biopic which will be based on one of the Indian cricketer.


Ajay Devgan's recent films "Shaitan" and "Maidan" performed well at the box office. In both the films, he played very different characters which were excellent. Now he is ready to do another biopic which is based on the life of Palvankar Baloo.


About Palwankar Baloo

Palvankar Baloo was an first Indian Dalit cricketer and political activist. He was born on March 19, 1876. He was appointed by Mumbai Police and Central Indian Railways and has also played many tournaments for the Railways Cricket team. He played in the All-India team led by the Maharaja of Patiala during the tour of England in 1911, in which he earned a lot of praise for his excellent performance. Along with that he also played other tournaments. In 1896 he was selected by Parmanand Das Jeevandas Hindu Gymkhana and both played in the Mumbai Quadrangular Tournament. His life was quite controversial which will be highlighted in the film.


This film will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia who has previously directed movies like "Paan Singh Tomar" and "Shagird". This film will be based on Historian Ramchandra Guha's books "A Corner of a Foreign Field".  The star cast of this film has not been finalized yet and work on the script of the film is still going on. It will be very exciting to see Ajay Devgan in this role.
