 Avatar and Titanic Movie Producer Jon Landau Died At Age of 63

Famous Oscar-winning filmmaker Jan Landau, who produced big budget films like Titanic and Avatar, passed away. He was 63 years old. He was suffering from cancer there for the last one year and was undergoing treatment. He worked as a producer for a long time with the famous film director James Cameron and also worked in James Cameron's company Lightstorm Entertainment.


His sister Tina Landau confirmed his death on social media, writing, "The best brother a girl could evergreen of. My heart is broken but also bursting with pride and gratitude for his most extraordinary life and the love and gifts he gave me and all who knew him for his films". 


Landau was the son of famous Hollywood producer Ely Landau. He was born on 14 May 1947 in New York. He was worked at Fox 20th Century for a long time. In which he produced films like Die Hard 2.

Discussing his profession, he made the film Titanic with James Cameron in 1997, which ended up being a blockbuster in the cinema world. This film did a business of around 1 billion dollar around then.

Alongside James Cameron, he likewise delivered Avatar in 2009 and its continuation Avatar- Way of Water in 2022, which nearly broke many film records.

After Landau's death, James Cameron informed the reporters that a great man and a great creator has left us. James Kamran further says that Landau believed in dreams. He believed that film is the most honorable art and to make a film you have to first become a human being yourself.

On Landau will always be remembered for his contributions.
