The Pill series exposes such dirty tricks. Pill series was released on Jio Cinema on Friday, July 12, 2024 and this series is getting good response. So let's see the review of Ritesh Deshmukh's Pill series.

Story line

The story begins in a hospital in Ghaziabad where clinical trials for new drugs are being conducted on people illegally. For this, the officer of Forever Cure Pharma company bribes the doctor so that he can show as many clinical trials as possible on the documents. Guru Kaur (Anshul Chauhan) is a medicine inspector who goes to inspect a plant of Forever Cure Pharma. She sees that a man was leaving with a file and hiding it. Guru Kaur runs after him but the man manages to escape from there and in the meantime he throws the file in a drain. Later that file is found by a journalist named Noor Khan. That file contains information about the illegal trials conducted in Forever Cure Pharma. Here, Dr. Prakash Chauhan (Ritesh Deshmukh) is a senior officer of Medicine Authority of India, who gets transferred to Ghaziabad. After going there, Guru Kaur tells them about the inspection. Brahma Gill (Pawan Malhotra) is the owner of Forever Cure Pharma. He wants to launch new diabetic drugs in the market, for which he has conducted clinical trials on different people. But that drug is having adverse reactions on people, due to which people are becoming ill. But Forever Cure Pharma Company does not disclose this data to the Medicine Authority of India and launches the drug in the market. When Dr. Prakash Chauhan comes to know about this, how does he complain about it in the High Court.

The overall story is very engaging which keeps you glued to the screen. Many such small aspects have been shown in the story which are very important for the common man to know. The story has been presented to us in a very simple manner which makes it easy for us to understand the medical terms. The main USP of the series is its content which is quite unique. Such a series has not been made in India yet.

Performances

Like Ritesh Deshmukh is a comedy actor. But whenever we see him in a serious role, he seems different from us. Even in a serious role, he plays it so well that we keep watching him. There is very little of this to be seen in the series. Neha Saraf has played the role of Ritesh's wife, who harasses him but also supports him. Anshul Chauhan has played the role of Medicine Inspector very well. Pawan Malhotra, who is in the negative role, also leaves his mark. There is a character in the series named Noor Khan who is a generalist, he also impresses us a lot in the supporting role. Performance Vice Series was too good.

Screenplay

The screenplay of the series is quite engaging. At many places the screenplay is slow, but it was necessary to build up the story. Per series we are not bored anywhere.

Background Score

The background score of the series is quite good which keeps us engaged on the screen.

Rating: 8/10
